Another barter with pear syrup. Whew! Cassidy was my next taker. In exchange she gave me herbs from her garden which mostly consisted of a big batch of dried sage. Along with some of her herbs, I filled my drying screens once more with the last of my basil, more rosemary, and more thyme.
Today I removed the dried sage leaves and sealed into a quart jar. The silver-green leaves are beautiful and the fragrance is reminiscent of Thanksgiving. Thanks, Cassidy!
My persimmon pulp total as of now is three quarts. I have another round of persimmons to run through the food mill as soon as they ripen a little more. I actually got a food mill blister today! Good problem, good problem.
