Yesterday I hit two trails where last winter and last summer I had seen gooseberry bushes growing. Near sunset these trails were mosquito cities. So there was no dilly dallying with this round of picking. I now have another quarter pound of gooseberries added to the freezer. I'm up to half a pound total. How about gooseberry tarts?
